Relaxation Massage/Bodywork
Tonume is proud to offer Relaxation Massage/Bodywork here on the Drive.

All of our Massage/Bodywork team have either graduated from a Massage Therapy College and have completed their Licensing Exams, but are awaiting the results, or are Clinic Level Students. These clinicians ARE NOT Registered Massage Therapists, and therefor we are not able to bill your extended insurance provider.

If you have exhausted your Extended Massage Therapy Benefits, but still feel that you need to treat yourself to a massage treatment, then Massage/Bodywork may be for you.

Relaxation massage in a clinical setting is an offering that focuses on promoting relaxation and reducing stress. This type of massage involves gentle, soothing strokes that are designed to help calm the mind and body. If you prefer deeper tissue/therapeutic treatment, we encourage you to book a treatment with one of our many Registered Massage Therapists.

Overall, relaxation massage in a clinical setting can be a wonderful way to promote overall wellness and relaxation. Whether you are dealing with stress, anxiety, or simply need a break from a busy life, this type of massage can be a great way to unwind and rejuvenate your mind and body. It can be helpful in promoting a better sleep and help relieve some of your daily muscle tension and help improve overall circulation.

During a relaxation massage, the client is typically lying on a massage table, covered with a sheet or blanket. The clinician uses massage oil or lotion to facilitate smooth, gliding strokes over the skin. The pressure applied during a relaxation massage is generally light to moderate, and the therapist will communicate with the client to ensure that the pressure is comfortable.
