Kirsten Wiren Registered Massage Therapist
Kirsten is a graduate from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. During this program, she learned many modalities such as Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Joint Mobilizations, Cranial Sacral Therapy, and Trigger Point release. Before training to become an RMT, Kirsten worked for many years as a contemporary dance artist and instructor. She obtained a BFA in Contemporary Dance from Simon Fraser University and has completed four years of post graduate work in Contemporary Dance Performance and Creation from the University of Calgary.
While in school and practicing therapeutic massage, Kirsten learned the importance of treating the whole person. She believes that the most significant healing takes place when one feels calm, safe and comfortable and she strives to create treatments that are therapeutic and relaxing. She also learned that her knowledge of movement, which she gained through her years of dance training, has been a wonderful foundation for understanding functional anatomy and therapeutic exercise. Kirsten combines her knowledge from both her physical and therapeutic practices to treat her clients in a dynamic manner.
