directives re: Covid-19 BC Restart Plan. You can unsubscribe to these notices at any time.
Our province continues to flatten the curve and now has implemented a
3-phase Restart Plan. Phase 2 includes re-integration of in-person services
provided by regulated healthcare professionals.
On May 15, 2020, BC’s Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, released
a letter to BC’s regulated health professionals (PDF), including RMTs.
Beginning May 19th, the clinic will reopen with modified hours.
Tuesday - Saturday 11am - 7pm
This will continue until the beginning of June when the bulk of our staff and
practitioners plan to return. Please note that not all practitioners are returning at once.
We will continue to offer Telehealth services (Physiotherapy, Counselling, Naturopathic Medicine, and Traditional Chinese medicine) for those who are in need and unable to come to the clinic.
Our goal is to keep everyone safe as we get back to providing our much needed treatments and services to our patients.
Outlined below are a few key changes that we have implemented to create our “new normal” and to achieve this:
Pre-screening of all patients 24 hours prior to treatment. Anyone who is feeling unwell with any COVID-19 symptoms will be asked to reschedule.
Your Practitioner will contact you personally via phone to conduct this pre-screening so that both you and your clinician can assess if you are fit for treatment.
***This call is extremely important and your session may be cancelled if we are unable to reach you by phone.
Limited Number of Patients in our waiting area to ensure 2 metres of separation. Patients will be expected to arrive at their exact scheduled appointment start time. Should you arrive early, you will be asked to wait outside.
Upon entering the clinic you will be directed to a hand sanitizing station, and then issued a mask (if you don’t already have one) and then have a Non-Contact Infrared Temperature Check.
All staff, practitioners and patients will be Required To Wear a Face Mask while in the clinic. Please bring your own mask with you, if you have one. Cloth masks are acceptable
Wherever possible, One Way Traffic-Flow through the clinic. Patients will enter through the front entrance and when leaving will be guided to the nearest exit, either through the front or back entrance to the parking lot.
It is recommended to have a credit card on file for Touchless Payment transactions. When this is not possible, prepayment may be required.
No In-Clinic Bookings. In order to reduce the amount of time patients spend in the clinic, and to practice safe physical distancing measures, we will only be accepting bookings via:
Extra Time Between Treatments to allow for increased sanitization of the rooms and high touch areas. This is in addition to the high levels of sanitization already in place by our practitioners
Staggered Treatments to help alleviate the number of patients arriving and leaving simultaneously
Decreased Hours and Days - so as to not overcrowd our neighbourhood during this period, and to slowly transition back, our hours and days have been decreased to help with this adjustment.
If any Tonume employees or practitioners are showing any signs of illness, they will not come to the clinic for their shifts. You will be notified and your treatment will be rescheduled to the earliest available date.
