Tonume - Provincial Health Office Mask Mandate Orders Lifted

Attention - Patients/Clients of Tonume Integrated Health,

April 8th, 2023

On April 6th, with respiratory surveillance across the province showing a decrease in

transmission of COVID-19,  influenza, and RSV, yesterday Provincial Health Officer

Dr. Bonnie Henry announced that most remaining Public Health Orders and measures

implemented during the pandemic are now to be lifted.

As per Dr Bonnie’s memo, “effective immediately, visitors to any health care facility or clinic

in B.C. will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination or to wear a mask.”

For all staff, clinicians and patients in all health-care settings (that is us at Tonume):

  • Mask wearing at Tonume is now OPTIONAL

    • Any staff, clinicians and patients wanting to wear a mask are able to without fear of judgment

    • If you prefer that your practitioner wear a mask, please let them know upon arrival at the clinic.

  • We will continue to follow exceptional hand hygiene and room hygiene practices

  • Please contact one of our Patient Care Coordinators if you’re sick, or have any symptoms of illness to reschedule your appointment.

For more information about the details in yesterday’s announcement, please visit the BCCDC website.

Thank you for choosing Tonume for your continued health care needs,
