This month we feature one of our newest practitioners Dr. Gina Bouros, Naturopathic Doctor.
Q: What are you and your family's favourite recreational activities?
A: I love hiking, my son likes snowboarding and soccer, and for my husband is all about soccer.
Q: What is your favourite Restaurant on the Drive?
A: I love Italian food and there are great places where you can taste it on the Drive although, my favorite pizza is from Via Tevere Pizzeria on Victoria Dr!
Q: What type of music do you like to listen to and why?
A: Latin music when I want to laugh and dance and classic music when I want to relax.
Q: What are your favourite travel destinations and why?
A: Definitely, Italy! I just love it for everything it means: culture, architecture, food, beautiful people and places. My native country, Romania is another destination where I love to go, and Turkey has something magical for me!
Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I wanted to be a doctor and to live In Canada! And this is not a joke!
Q: What got you interested in becoming a Naturopath?
A: I worked in business area for many years. Although this was an interesting and dynamic field to work on, I reached a point where I no longer felt motivated about my work, and so I decided to try a different professional pathway. I was always very passionate about herbal medicine, food as medicine and health, so it wasn’t difficult to choose what I want to do, and this career path is certainly the right one for me.
Q: What do you like most about being an ND?
A: I like working with people and for people! I really enjoy working with people and seeing the profound change that can occur when they really focus their energy on becoming healthier and more connected with who they really are.
Q: You've offered - A pound per day- weight loss program - what is this program and how does it achieve such great results?
A: This program combines the use of HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) with a specific, low-calorie diet of whole foods;
HCG is naturally produced in the body of pregnant women to enable the metabolization of fat for the benefit of the fetus; it is safe for both women and men.
HCG does not cause you to lose weight; it changes how you lose weight.
